Omega Lighting has taken the reflector of a vertical compact
fluorescent and has turned it into a decorative element. Using
unique metalized finishes and endless accessories. Then there is the
hand formed Italian Piastra glass, from13th century technology or
the multilayered mouth blown frit glass.

APEX™ Wins Plant Engineering Award
Plant Engineering magazine recently announced that the Day-Brite
Apex™ fluorescent low bay won the New Lighting Product of the Year
Award for 2005. Apex is the first true fluorescent low bay luminaire,
having a 2.1 spacing criteria. It was engineered to deliver 96

EPACT 2005 – A federal tax
deduction for owners
In order to take advantage of the financial benefits of the
EPACT 2005 legislation, Day-Brite|Capri|Omega provides many
alternatives to be considered along with our complete range of
energy saving products. The main challenge is to deliver a lighting
solution that allows owners/users to exceed the minimum ASHRAE
density levels (LPWs) required for the tax deduction incentives.
This allows for the selection of the appropriate system
configuration (lamp/ballast combination) and ensures its successful
design execution.

APEX™ expands HawkEye Industries
plant
When Hawkeye Industries embarked upon a 24,000 sq. foot
expansion to make room for growth and new equipment technologies, a
large part of this expansion focused on lean manufacturing
principles and, in particular, enhancing productivity by eliminating
fatigue and improving worker safety. Hawkeye, working with Day-Brite
application engineers, chose the new APEX industrial fluorescent
luminaire because it offered the best combination of lumen output,
life, and
operational characteristics for their application.

Microslot lights DFW new
International Terminal
“MicroSlot was selected as the main system for providing general
lighting throughout the entire terminal because we wanted a linear
appearance with a sleek and small aperture with a high enough light
output to illuminate low-ceiling height areas up to 20 ft.”
Completed in July 2005, the $1.2 billion terminal project is the
largest post 9/11 airport project to date, and features 99 ticketing
positions and a federal inspection facility capable of processing
